Here is an archive of miscellaneous design projects I have worked on or created in the past. Feel free to contact me if you are interested in learning more about any of these projects.
This project was my introduction to creating laser-cutting files and the CorelDraw software. I was given the task of creating an interactive model to teach children about the Platonic Solids. I collaborated with coworkers and my mentor to gather feedback, test, and iterate through a few versions before establishing a final design. I then printed and assembled 25 models to be dristributed to local libraries and schools.
I created this puzzle based on a book called Grandpa's Quilt by Betsy Franco which follows a story of creating and altering a quilt to display relationships between surface-area and perimeter. The final product was a set of fabric shape magnets that can be arranged in two different layouts on a magnetic surface. I first created a design and a Cricut file that would cut out shapes and print sewing guidelines on thin cotton fabric. I then sewed these pieces into quilt-like shapes and attached magnets to each component.
This cardboard calipers activity booklet was created as an educational resource for teachers/tutors/parents to use independently. The booklet I made provides instructions to create calipers that measure different common ratios. The booklet also provides a link to the SVG files for those who wish to access them.
As a progression of my calipers project, I developed a kit for this activity with an emphasis on the Golden Ratio caliper. I recreated the cardboard calipers booklet to accompany the kit as well.
These math challenges I created were published in the Austin Chronicle Newspaper as a part of MathHappens' weekly "Math Advertisement" project. I was responsible for researching and developing a quick mathematical activities on subjects of my choosing.
Here is a collection of some non-professional works that I have created. The collection includes a number of illustrations I have made using procreate. These images are a peek inside what kind of art I enjoy playing around with in my free time. Enjoy!
